Aching Back

Today Dad went deer hunting again, but I didn't go. I'm extremely sore, everything from the waist up. This morning, I could barely get out of bed. I'm not quite that sore anymore, but it still hurts. So I didn't really do much more than sit around the house today, play on the computer, and play my games. I also watched a Detective Conan movie, movie 4 "Captured in her Eyes", and Bolt. That's about it. Oh, but dad got a doe today.

Deer

Today, or rather, this morning, I went out deer hunting. Because it's the first day, getting everything together was a little confusing. Once we got set up out there I got up in my climbing tree stand. I took it about about 15 feet up the tree, facing a deer trail. At 8:20, I suddenly saw a doe step out there in front of me. As soon as it got into the clearing, it looked straight at me in the tree. Because of the angle it was facing me from, I thought I wouldn't be able to get a great shot, so just like on my hunting game when I can't get the shot I want I shot it in the chest. As soon as I shot it in the chest it did a back flip and died instantly.

At 10:11 I suddenly heard this big deer trot out there and then it just stopped. At that point all I could see was the head and the antlers, and it was looking straight at the deer I shot. It seemed a little confused. Suddenly it looked straight up at me and I thought for sure it was going to run. But then it came around through the brush toward me, stopped, and looked up at me again, as if it was trying to figure out what I was. It came even closer, about 10-15 yards away from my tree, and looked at me again. It moved a little closer and I shot at it. Because of the brush, I was aiming through the tree limbs, and wasn't sure if I got the shot I wanted. It ran under my tree stand, where I couldn't get it, so my dad shot it again from the other tree stand, and it dropped. I had actually shot it in a very good spot. So good, it shattered the spine in half.Most of the time, a deer won't look into a tree, especially on the first day of season but the friend we were hunting with had also taken a shot at it from the other side of the woods, and it was startled quite a bit from that.

Since our friend didn't get a deer, we gave him the doe, as we usually do to be fair. We had our friend's daughter take a picture of me and my deer and she is going to email it to me, so I can't post it today. I was actually just eating some tender loin from it we cooked up.

Dad and Mom went out to run some errands today, so instead of staying at home, Andrew and I went to a coffee shop with Wi-Fi called Perkfections. I enjoyed it. I got to spend time with Andrew for the first time in a long time. Afterwards, I went to Petsmart. They're having a charity adoption this weekend. Of course, I didn't get anything :l...though I wanted to. I also went to T-mobile with everyone to get Dad a new phone, and saw a phone I liked quite a bit, and I think I might get it by February!!! Here is a link! I'm so glad to be back on the desktop!!! I got to go to bed soon, waking up at 3 AM.....And Mom is acting a little funny all of a sudden, lol.

I am feeling a lot better. I felt like walking the dogs today. Yesterday I didn't. We're getting things ready for the first day of gun season on Saturday. I'm really looking forward to it this year.

They fixed Mom's desktop today. I'll be glad when I get another laptop. Mine died, and I can't get another one yet. But Mom shares her computer with me, so that's all right.

Well, that's it for today. Nothing going on yet, but maybe Saturday I'll have a hunting story to tell and maybe some pictures. (No blood or anything, though) I know some people don't like hunting. I'd rather eat deer though than beef bought at the store, especially since we package it ourselves.

Colgate Robot

Short post tonight. I'm feeling better except my left shoulder has been hurting all day. Mom said I probably slept on it wrong.

I found this video of a Colgate robot. It isn't the same one we saw. The one we saw was a white tube. But it's close, and the voice is very much like the one we saw.

Today, not much at all happened. I walked the dogs, ran errands with mom, and that's about it. I played my video game, Pokemon Heart Gold, a lot today. Oh yeah, the computer for some reason broke down today and is now in the shop. I'm on Drew's laptop.

Today I went to the doctor for my cold. I got an antibiotic, prescription cough syrup, and Clariten Clear. So far I don't feel any better. I also walked Little Bit and Scout together, then Taxi. I've got a schedule set up where I walk Heidi then Bruin one day, then Little Bit, Scout and Taxi the next. I also played a game online with Andrew and some of the brawl players. It was fun.

Sick!

I'm going to the doctor tomorrow. I can't stop sneezing. Every time I feel better for a few days I start feeling sick again. I had a fever this morning, so Mom is taking me to the doctor.

I watched Hoot tonight with Mom and Dad even though I was tired. But I'm going to bed now. I hope I can stop sneezing so I can go to sleep.
