Well, yesterday we took Copper, the flying squrrel, to the vet. He had been spraying and my dad coulden't handle the smell. So we took hm in at 8:30 AM and had him nutered. Now they were so sure that we had made a mistake and just thought he was a flying squirrel and was a sugerglider, but boy, was she surprised when it happen to acuallly be a flying squirrel. She had done everything from dogs to sugargliders to prairie dogs, but never a flying squirrel. At around 4:00 we picked him up. the surgery had gone very well. Even now, he's still sleepy from the anesthesia and is groggy, but he's doing great. He will let us pet him right now, but hides his head.

I've decided to let clark go. I haven't yet, but when the weather gets nice enough I'm gonn let her go. She always tries to escape and all so I figure she really wants out. We'll take pichures before we let her go.

  1. I didn't know that squirrels spray like a cat. How many pets do you have now? Hope he recovers well.

  2. Aw, he's hiding his head? Too cute. I'm glad he's doing well. I'm sorry to hear you're letting Clark go, but it sounds like she'll never be completely domesticated. I hope it won't be too hard to say goodbye.

  3. Clark will probably stay within the acer of my home. Most possoms limit themselfs to that much of area. She'll probably come back for food to.

    Copper is doing great. he has been back to his entergetic self. How many pet do I have now? To many. Way to many. 16.

  4. Glad the procedure went well.

    Wow, 16 pets. That is awesome :o)

  5. Hello Eller Beth;
    I know it's been awhile since I wrote so I just wanted to say hello again to you, your Mom and your brother. I'm glad the procedure went so well. You're doing the right thing in letting Clark go but it's going to be hard. You're brave I think too and hope you don't end up in tears.
